Inspired by the naval term “final bearing” — the last heading you set before reaching your destination — we bring that same precision, purpose, and commitment to finishing strong into every project. Our mission is to create high‑quality challenge coins, laser engraving, and custom pieces that are crafted with exacting detail, built to last, and worthy of the stories they represent.

Rooted in deckplate leadership and submarine heritage, we blend tradition and innovation to design keepsakes that carry the pride of service and stand the test of time. Guided by the motto “Forged with Precision, Crafted with Honor,” Final Bearing Mint aims to be the first call for commands, Chiefs’ Messes, and families looking to mark milestones, deployments, and careers with something truly meaningful.
OUR TEAM
Senior Chief Blaine Dodson is the founder of Final Bearing Mint and a Fire Control Technician in the United States Navy, serving on active duty for over 17 years. He brings the same focus, discipline, and attention to detail from the submarine force into every coin he designs. Blaine is married to his wife, Sarah, and together they’re raising their two children, Emmalinn and Benjamin. As a family, they understand the sacrifices that come with service—and the pride that comes with wearing the uniform. Blaine started Final Bearing Mint to give Sailors, Chiefs, and commands a company they can count on. He works closely with each customer to create meaningful, custom challenge coins and keepsakes that honor their story, their crew, and their final bearing. His goal is simple: deliver designs that look sharp, feel solid in the hand, and stand the test of time—just like the people they represent.
